Metal Plus LLC introduces the Snap-On Safety Anchor (SOS) — a newly patented fall-protection solution engineered exclusively for snap-lock standing seam roofing systems.
The Snap-On Safety Anchor (SOS) is a fall protection anchor engineered specifically for snap-lock standing seam metal roof panels. Unlike traditional anchors, set screws more suitable for mechanical seam.
Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum with a 304 stainless steel D-ring, the anchor is compatible with 22 and 24 gauge steel snap-lock panels and is designed to meet OSHA 1910.140 and 29 CFR 1926.502(d)(1) anchorage strength requirements when installed in accordance with Metal Plus instructions
Designed for one worker per anchor with a maximum combined weight of 310 lbs (including tools)
Why Snap-Lock Panels Need a Different Anchor
Most safety anchors on the market — including set-screw designs — may not be compatible with snap-lock seams.
Snap-lock panels contain a small internal cavity within the seam.
Most Traditional Anchors:
